The beauty of Sydney was sailing in and out of the harbor. We sailed in at sunrise and sailed out to fireworks, but with the beautiful opera house in view.
Our excursion for the day was a trip to the Blue Mountains (which have a blue tint because of the evaporating eucalyptus oil). Lovely view stops, the world’s steepest train, and a scenic cableway we’re part of the morning activities. After lunch we visited Featherdale Wildlife Park where we had a nice visit with Calliope the Koala! We completed the day with a ferry ride back to the ship.
